Saw a news clip on it. Why risk the safety of a service member to get them to open the hatch when a torpedo would do the trick? Or let an A-10 pilot light them up with the 30mm. they call it a SUB because it sets below the water line.. It can not dive under water.. I don't know, but the hull might only be 3/16 or 1/4 inch thick ?? Don't know. ------------- Like them all, but love the "B"s. |

from what I have read, some, perhaps many of them are converted boats, constructed of fiberglass, and not very heavy gauge. and as has already been pointed are not actually completely submersible. ------------- I am still confident of this; I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. The video after the one listed is pretty interesting, shows the progression of the semisubs. They have a valve in them that they are supposed to open if they get caught so it will sink, no evidence that way. Kind of hard for the 4 crewmen to get out the little door but there are always guys desperate enough to do it.
