First off Happy Easter to You All!!!
I was given this single front wheel from a neighbor of mine who said he had no use for it. The story behind it; his father and uncle used to farm together and they at a WD45 with a wide front. Whenever it came time to pick corn, they would remove the wide front and mount this single front wheel on the tractor so they could install and use the mounted corn picker. Story seems correct, just wanting a confirmation that I do have a single front wheel assembly that is for a wd/wd45. Looks a little big to me but I know that's not a good way of judging things. Unfortunately, he also mentioned they cut and added extensions onto the single wheel mounted brackets to give the front of the picker more clearance... o well, guess back then it was more for usability then originality. So, do I have a single front wheel for a wd/wd45?
Thanks as always for your guys help!

Yes it's for WD/WD45 and yes it's been rebuilt with a farmer lift kit. LOL THis one has had a farmer rebuilt lift to pick corn too.
------------- 3 WD45's with power steering,G,D15 fork lift,D19, W-Speed Patrol, "A" Gleaner with a 330 corn head,"66" combine,roto-baler, and lots of Snap Coupler implements to make them work for their keep.

Yes the story is correct. Same could be used on a D-14-19 but needed the addition of a bearing holder. Likely needed to add more clearance for the mud to clear out
------------- Nothing is impossible if it is properly financed

Thanks for the info Don and Calvin! Glad to have a better understanding of what I have. Now a question to go along with it, in Norm's book, between the wd and wd45 for single wheel production you're looking at around 1,900 total units. Is there anything on the tractors to identify what type of front end the tractor was shipped with from factory? My hope is next to the tractor serial number some identifier such as "d" daul, "sfw" single wheel, etc... however I doubt that is the case as I have yet to hear of one.
