As I recall,  Allis-Chalmers Energy last owned  and used the "AC" trademark.  A few years ago, Allis-Chalmers Energy merged with Seawell to form a company called Archer.  Does anyone know who now owns the rights to the "AC" trademark?

How did the company that made the AC branded lawn tractors a few years ago do it?

Allis Chalmers was still in business, Briggs-Straton may have invested in the Simplicity buyout from Allis ,, but bringing the AC name back on lawn tractors was thru them , didn't turn out well

Well just think about this. What if AGCO bought it to badge a line of .... Heritage Compact Tractors????  Or whatever.  I'd bet it would certainly get plenty of attention.

If the name and paint would get put on a full line of tractors, it would get tons of attention in the US and some other countries that were able to buy AC. Getting AGCO exec's to do it is slim to none. They dont see the value in it. Look on their website and see what countries they are from. 75% of them are not American. If enough letters were sent to the head exec's that the products branded Allis Chalmers would get bought, something might change. It takes everyone, but no one will banned together. The saying goes "Money talks, Bull---- walks". Thats all the heads care about but for as for any company to succeed it has to make money. Paint and name would cost little compared to the extra sales. Plus most that love orange would pay extra for it, I know I would.

As much as I want to agree, my guess is it wouldn't go over too well. All of the A-C guys I know who still farm are in their 50s/60s or older, and from my experience, most of the younger generation doesn't even know what A-C is. And if they do, they usually don't think too much of it.

The Orange people who left AGCO after AGCO, and earlier, Deutz, stabbed them in the back probably won't come back for any reason.
