Need to get right sprockets for a population of around 35000. This would be the driver and driven sprockets . The ones I have are 28 tooth and 20 tooth. Question is if I swap the 28 tooth from driver to driven and 20 tooth to driver from driven does that switch the ratio to what I need? So it would be a 10 tooth and 14 tooth? I am also looking for the 12,14and 18 tooth sprocket for the drive wheel jack shaft for fertilizer, and the combo sprockets for the front jack shaft inner sprocket and rear jack shaft sprocket for fertilizer. Thanks cory.

when I bought my 500 planter , I had a hard time finding sprockets . This guy at Ziegler's in mo. found some for me. Albert Salsbury in parts 660-582-5150 or 800-589-2426

Are they for flat chain or roller chain? Someone else was needing to up the population and we could only find one of what he needed, so I sent that one to the foundry to have a full set made from the original one.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits.
If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY

ok, I am going to assume,,,, you are on 30" rows ? If so an 18 driving a 10  (36 - 20)
or a 20 driving an 11 will be close to a 6" spacing using a 24 cell plate... .  put some in - roll on a hard dirt road and CHECK before planting - there will be some (5%) wheel slippage in worked ground reducing population a tad. IF you are planting for effect - make use the bottoms of the seed hopper are FLAT - no grooves and the SIDES are not grooved , the knocker is not grooved and the roller is loose a both spring loaded and free.  Graded seed corn is almost a thing of the past - if you do not get graded seed corn and MATCH it to the seed plate - you are wasting your time and $$$$ with a plate planter at todays seed corn prices.
