Well... Getting coolant into the crankcase on the XTOuch. Looking for some pointers on the best overhaul kit (in frame). Also, if there is something else I should do while overhauling. I replaced front and rear seals a couple years ago when I did the clutch is the only reason doing an in-frame. All the help will be appreciated!  Ed

coolant in crankcase can be a booger to clean up. Sadly best bet would be to do an out of frame so all the milkshake mess can be cleaned out of all the oil galleys. I'd lay money on a pin hole through a sleeve. You will want to actually find the leak before ripping it apart though. Pull pan and valve cover, and then pressurize the cooling system.

When ours failed about 1986 the o ring lands in the block were eroded away. The dealer pulled the block and an engine machine shop bored them out, made sleeves and pressed them into the bottom of the block, then they put an overhaul kit in the engine. Knock on wood it is still working. I always check the oil before starting it. The tractor was only 18 or  19 at the time and now its 50 or 51. Wow time flies. It has ground a lot of feed and helped make a lot of hay.
