The old Allis/ La Crosse plow buildings in La Crosse  WI  are being  converted/ repurposed into  commercial and apartments properties by the Cleary Family ( Heilemans Brewing ) in  La Crosse.  there have been newspaper articles in the La Crosse Tribune, i would post if  knew how

WOW John, I don't get the paper, so I haven't seen any of this.  I had heard there was something in the wind, but nothing positive.
How about breakfast/brunch/lunch one of these days and I can tell you how to do it...
If I don't hear from you till Wed or Thurs, I'll call you!!

I read the obituaries in The Trib on line every morning. It's a good way to keep up on what's happening with old friends. I recall seeing something about that a couple of weeks ago. I believe there was a picture, but the building had been renovated to the point where I didn't recognize it.

Edit: Whoops, I just opened their web page and there it is, right on top.

You guys should stop in the construction site and let the workers know that your interested in anything that there throwing away that might have allis chalmers on it or any other trinkets. You never know what they might find. Good luck

I had a friend of mine that helped take the old windows out etc. He said there were a bunch of ac electric motors upstairs that were used to open the windows.   He said they were keeping those and I would guess anything else ac might be kept as well. It would be cool to have a portion of the building used as a historical place of what used to be there.

overthe years i have heard  many stories about where the stuff went, to the point of  barrels o  paper work etc sent to the dumo to be  buried.  There is  stuff around i owned and sold a 2545 that had the allis La Crosse works inventory tag on it , hanled a wooden chair with the inventory tag, and sold in my auction many years ago a mangement training lesson for training management personnel.
