Question concerning the correct oil to use in the rear end of a D-10 Series II for the transmission and hydraulics.  Operating instructions manual say " Use non-foaming oil.  Use S.A.E. 10w-30 for all temperatures".    To me this is saying non-detergent, but typically you only ever see non-detergent as a single weight oil, as for example either SAE20 or SAE30.  Then there is the universal transmission/hydraulics oils like the TSC Traveller Premium Universal Tractor Trans/Hydraulic Fluid.  Kinda stuck on which direction to go on this one.  Sorry if this has been discussed before as a search on the forum didn't come up with an answer

I use SAE 20 non-detergent in my CA.  It is very similar to your D-10, just older.

Others will chime in I'm sure.

I use the type you mentioned in my D10. TSC universal Trans/Hydraulic fluid. I use it in all my tractors. It makes it simpler.

Same. TSC Universal Hydraulic oil, the stuff in the black jug, NOT the yellow one, in all 3 tractors and my backhoe. Ive done this for years and so far so good.
