I want to pull a new idea 310 one row picker behind my WD45. Has any one done this using an Allis single acting cylinder on it? The picker has two springs on it that look like they would assist in lowering the picker and holding it down. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Should work fine. Old brochure I have on NI pickers shows the springs for use with a single acting cylinder.

Thanks I appreciate the input. I was wondering about the springs because I have two pickers one has them and the other one doesn't.

I would also think they'd be fine. I think Don(MO) has one and uses it.

I think it will work better. We use the NI 323 picker and the frame got broke with a 2 way behind the 185's. My father never broke one with a 45 and a one way cylinder. Only needs pressure up, float on down position. We still pick a lot of corn and have had several pickers over the years.
