Turns night into day when hog hunting at night.  Watch some of the hog killin videos on the net.  Some of these shooters are really good on popping running pigs. at 100 plus yards.
I'm workin at killin a roague boar hog that is coming in the night to dig up grass we call our lawn. He has been rooting up 200 square feet of lawn every night for the last 2 weeks. The sucker is trap smart and sittin in a blind at night to shoot him is way to uncomfortable for the pesky skeeters .  Got to see him twice for just a second or two when hittin him with a spotlight.
He loves windfall pears. Been thinkin of pokin a few grains of gopher poison in a few pears and watch for the buzzards to find him. I think one grain of gopher poison will kill a horse.

I have a couple Bushnell banner daylight to dawn scopes. They left in a lot of light at nearly dark but no good when it’s completely dark.
We’re looking for a place to hog hunt down there. We’ve been in contact with one place but they are just too expensive.

The way I see it Texas Farmers and Ranchers should be paying you a bounty on every hog you kill on their land.   $25 a head for sows sounds fair. Both sides of the feral hog problem need to work together to control a growing problem.

I truly appreciate that. We have hogs here but getting on them is hard to do. They stay on the move
