Sounds like you need an operators manual. How rusty is the hardware? How long since the wheels were moved?

And what model tractor do you have? Different models use different style locks

If they haven't been moved in years you'll need a big hammer, bigger hammer, giant hammer, torch and a good supply of cuss words that'll get you started anyway.

Then you get them to adjust the first time won't lock down from then on. Work sorta like cast spoke truck wheels, wedges lock centers to spin rails.

Lots of PB Blaster liberally applied multiple times and a real strong (1") air wrench!

Remove the wheel lock. It is bolted thru one of the slide bars usually behind an eccentric. Then loosen the four eccentrics. Then get on and drive it forward or backward to get the wheel where you want it. If I remember right, I had to jerk the tractor to get it to move. Two people would be ideal, one on the tractor and you watching the wheel.

Once the clamps are loose, and the stop removed, step on the opposite brake, of the wheel you want to move, and pop the clutch in a jerky motion, one wheel will move out, in fwd, and one will move out in rev...

| Sounds like you're spinning both at same time. I guess that's possible, but never tried it. I only spin one tire at a time. So everything you said, except I'll add a slight lift to the tire that Im spinning in/out, using a hydraulic jack placed under the tractor's rear drawbar slide frame.

Oh, are you saying they are being moved at the exact same time? Nope that can't be done. You step on one brake and move the opposite wheel then step on the other brake and move the wheel opposite that brake and then tighten clamps and install stops. That's how I do it.
