Looks like Chev is getting back into the class 4, 5, and 6 truck market with a replacement for the Kodiak. Where did you find reference to aluminium bed? That size of truck generally comes as a cab and chassis, no bed. If you are referring to the red one pictured in the article, that is more than likely a steel bed painted to match the aluminum tool boxes. Often referred to as a landscaper or contractor body. They are supposed to be big a clumsy. They're trucks, not pickups. These a the new version of the old C60 and C70 of the 60, 70 and 80s. Remember the old grain trucks that most farmers had before they all got semis. ------------- Looking at the past to see the future. Yup! I'm not going to buy one either! I don't have a need for one. I don't have enough $$$$$$ to buy one. After 49+ years, my wife would definitely do the big "D" on me, regardless of the time in grade. I did save a pic of one though! ------------- |

From what I have read, on upcoming GM trucks, anything with a hinge will be aluminum while the base cab will be steel. |
