Looks like Chev is getting back into the class 4, 5, and 6 truck market with a replacement for the Kodiak.  A link is below.

The trucks will be built by International but will have a Duramax/Allison drive train.
They are a good looking truck.  I am sure the price will be good looking too!

Nice looking truck, but seems kinda hypocritical with an aluminum bed when they've been so critical of ford and their aluminum bed. Whoooo, I wonder what that thing is going to cost.

seems they already been making I think the 4500 series for a long time, been out there for pulling and mounted campers, and a lot of box trucks and wreckers..

Where did you find reference to aluminium bed?
That size of truck generally comes as a cab and chassis, no bed.
If you are referring to the red one pictured in the article, that is more than likely a steel bed painted to match the aluminum tool boxes. Often referred to as a landscaper or contractor body. That is an aftermarket bed.

It is a fair looking truck but after having a IH Navistar 6.9 I doubt I'll ever have anything that says Navistar on it even if it does have a GM drivetrain

To get a good truck Chebby had to get someone else to make it for them. Ain't that right, Shameless?

I wonder who approached who first.

From the article Navistar is selling the same units under the Navistar badge.

IH wants OUT of the mid size lines, not enough turnover and Ford had them outclassed the last several years.   That is why they are building with a GM emblem.

Still oversized clumsy looking things. The Dodge and Fords at least resemble pickups yet. I am a GM guy but I wouldn't buy one.

They are supposed to be big a clumsy. They're trucks, not pickups. These a the new version of the old C60 and C70 of the 60, 70 and 80s. Remember the old grain trucks that most farmers had before they all got semis.

Yup!  I'm not going to buy one either!

I don't have a need for one.
I don't have enough $$$$$$ to buy one.
After 49+ years, my wife would definitely do the big "D" on me, regardless of the time in grade.
I did save a pic of one though!

From what I have read, on upcoming GM trucks, anything with a hinge will be aluminum while the base cab will be steel.
