I CANNOT get my D14 brake drums off. They will not budge. I have heated them with O2/Acet and they were GLOWING. I have 2 long 5/8" bolts with chain and a 4 ton hydraulic Big Red. Nothing. I tried a 12 ton bottle jack, broke the 3/8" chain. I just got done putting new shoes and linings since they were oil soaked and the whole process would be a waste if I did not replace the axle seals. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your tooling is inadequate. I just did a D-15 and used an OTC puller with a 1 inch fine threaded screw, which is probably 10 ton ? pull. I don't know if your 5/8" bolts will withstand that much unless they are Gr 8. You now (after heating it red) may have to break up the drum is pieces and split the center hub to get it to release. The oil seal that gets the lining wet is the differential seal, not the final drive seal. Or are you replacing the drums due to wear ??

Got one off. I have replaced the inner diff seal, the outer final drive, and this would be the only one left. I figured the time to do it was when it was apart. I got it to glow, waited an hour and she moved. Maybe it just needed the time to swell and contract. I do have LOTS of oil on the inside of the drum. Not which seal that is, but I am on my way now.
