We inherited this tractor when we purchased a piece of property. We are assuming it was purchases in the early 60's when the owner built the house.  It runs, has a gas engine, but there is no identifying marks on the tractor.  I can see where there once might have been a plate.  I am attaching pictures and a lubrication and service chart old owner used.  It runs fine, had a tractor knowledgeable friend move it three times for us last fall, but am interested in moving it on, but I have not idea how to market it!  Would love to ID model and year if possible. Thank you.  images can be seen here:  http://lesliemorrisphotography.com/-/lesliemorrisphotography/gallery.asp?cat=201280&pID=1&row=15" rel="nofollow - http://lesliemorrisphotography.com/-/lesliemorrisphotography/gallery.asp?cat=201280&pID=1&row=15

the curved shifter says late '53 wd or a wd45 which ran up to early 57.  the serial # is on the rear axle housing to the left of the cover in the center on the back.  that will tell for sure.

Give your location. Might have somebody close by that'd make a deal on it.

Does it have a plate bolted on the right side of the engine?  WD has one, WD45 does not although not a positive ID as motors do get changed around for one reason or another.  Left side, below the Lt brake access panel on the axel housing.

It used to as I can see where it was but its gone, with some Gymnastics hanging upside down I was able to find the serial number hidden under the 3 - point brackets and found WD 151215 on the differential cover I am confused as the serial numbers for the last WD's built in 1953 is 13_____ then in 1953 they began building WD45.  Could this still be a 45 with that serial number?

I’m wondering....how come in the manual photo, “12. Radiator” is pointing to the gas tank?

SN WD151215 indicates it is a 1953 WD45.

I just posted that because it was the only documentation the owner left about the tractor, but I now know it is a WD45 Serial Number 151215 built in 1953 and has a gas engine.  I am going to find it a home.  I will update my location so if anyone is interested in my area they can contact me.

Funny.......
I have three different WD-45 manuals.....one of them misidentifies the gas filler as the radiator just like in his photo.

Good looking machine.  Very little rust and the sheet metal looks really straight.  Could be a very tempting project for somebody.  Or just use it as is.  Sadly, way too far from me, but only 40 miles from my mother in law.   Good luck with the sale.
