Why does it seem that no one ever talks about the RC? Don't see them listed for sale often either...

Only 5500 built over 2 years. Not very popular. AC put a B engine into a WC chassis.

I would ask what would a good "RC" be worth? I have dreamed about putting a set together. The "C", "CA", "RC", "UC", & "WC". You could add the Gleaners "C", "C2", and "C62". Did I forget any?

I've got the C set except the UC. RC's aren't all that expensive, I paid $1,600 for a good running one with a mid mount cycle bar mower.

There was an RC on craigslist about 30 miles from me a few years back. In the pictures it looked really rough, but it was complete. At the time I had just finished up work on my B and I wasn't too eager to jump into another project. I kind of regret not going out and taking a look at that RC.

The RC was introduced in 1939 the B engine was uprated and after about 2 years AC droped the RC and used the uprated engine in the C

RC's were made for three years but 41 production was less than 100 tractors. In my opinion they were an interim solution to compete with the F12 and JD B till AC got the C on the market in 1940. I used to own RC8 Edwin Karg had RC9

I have a 1939 Allis Chalmers RC that I will sell. It is a complete tractor that has all the goodies, electric start, lights, PTO & Belt pulley. It also has the correct (rebuilt) mag , (recored) radiator and the filler plate in front of the grill. The charging system is in good working order and the battery box was replaced with a new one. I rebuilt the shifter awhile back, it has no slop and the reverse lockout works. The sheet metal is much better than the one pictured above, even the rear fenders are not all that bad. Redoing the correct motor that came with the tractor, for it is next on my list of to do things, although I would sell it as a project. It has good tires all around and the rear rims were new a few years ago, these are the correct bump rims I got from Miller Tire. If anyone is seriously interested, Please send me a direct Email or a PM. Thanks the1orangewizard@gmail.com
------------- If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere. Real pullers don't have speed limits. If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY

The one above is my 3rd. I bought it for about the price of the wheel weights. I'll be parting out of of my other ones this summer.

My RC is in a million pieces at present. Another project I've been working off and on with. Actually, more off, than on... LOL! My father always said, "all good things take time". Steve@B&B
