Thought I would post this here also.I am looking at an Allis forklift that has a bad motor. I cant seem to find much info on it. Hopefully someone can tell me where to search. It is a model ACP 50 DSPSSNLG Serial # AJK 132252. Was wondering what motor it would have in it, and if parts are still available. It runs on propane.

Thanks Brian

A quick Google search turns up a  F160 continental engine.

I have an ACP-60H with a Continental F245 flat head 6 cyl. that runs on gasoline. I rebuilt the engine, parts for the engine shouldn't be a problem. Mine had dual hard rubber tires that I removed and replaced with pneumatic. Good 6000 pound capacity machine.

I will have a better look tomorrow. That guy in the forestry forum must have a F162. I cant find any info on F160 engine.

We have an ACC 50 (solid tires)in our shop and is a great little forklift. Engine parts should not be a problem. Paid $1500 about 7 years ago.

Not trying to hyjack this post...but I have a 153 AC for sale.    Came from a rebuild shop and has been completely done over.   Pretty sure these were used in fork trucks.   Thought I would use in an I-600 needing a re-power but too many other projects.   Have pics available

did perkins make a propane engine, or gasoline?

I have fork truck identical to unit you are looking at, including side shift
am sure mine is continental engine. have had it for about 10 years and never had to do anything engine related so have not had to research motor specs. mine is propane also.
I have original service manuel, it has motor options in it, pm me if I need to dig it out and look.

PABOB.  A 153 engine is a Buda design and will only work ( I think) in your I 600 if it was originally a diesel which is a Buda design 175 cu.in. Completly different than the 160 gas normally found in an I 600

Yes. I knew it was a different motor but completely rebuilt and it wouldn't be too hard to adapt it the I-600.   Just not time for the project

If you could look that up for me that would be great.
