I have the motor out of my D17 series 3 and was going to put in new seals on the trans input-clutch shaft. There are two seals in housing, I took the seals to town and they crossed the seal to a CR number but the original seal is real heavy duty and the new seal is just one little rubber lip, was wondering if anyone has used the lighter seal.

New seals may be better material than old ones. MACK

If your worried you could put two seal back in
