For those with an old 6 or 7000 344 engine laying about or a destructed machine I am looking for some serious pieces.
My oil filter housing is a cobbled mess and I am fixing to service once again. I did a parts search on Mach Trdr at no luck. What I need is a complete housing canister. The snap ring, spacers and spring to keep the filter snug to the upper assembly. Unhandily my donor came without any of the filter assembly.
  Allis p/n for the can(which I do have) is 74349977 the spring load components are 74372969, 74055971, 74053409, 74053410 & 74379268'
Are on my service parts book pages 45/46 #17-21 &14
If it comes down to it can machine something close in house but that is what I already did/hurriedly last time.

Well luck runs with me. Made mention to a buddy who had a neighbor that once had a Allis grader with a 344. Thought he had the spare parts tractor still in the woods so called and yes, not much left but machine still there.
Drove 15 miles and there standing in the clear on a junk block in a remnant of a AC grader frame was a complete filter can still installed. Last of the good pieces remaining on it so now he is taking to scrap yard. Controls all gone, even from the front of the cab forward is all gone, not even a tire wheel or sheet metal. Got seriously lucky.
