I hate carburators , they flood, leak, cause so many problems. Too bad there isn't a converson kit for fuel injection for old tractors. Just wishful thinking.

It would probably be super expensive for a F.I. system. The problem today, is not so much the Carburetors themselves that's the problem, but the fuel, and its additives that cause the issues. Such as Ethenol for one. Todays fuel does not stick around for to long a time before it starts to separate and makes muck which eventually plugs things up and screws internal components up in the Carburetor. Some folks that can get Ethenol free fuel in their area are lucky! Around here, that's all we have unless you want to go with racing gas. A bit expensive and a waste of money to run in a low compression Tractor. Its getting so if the Tractor isn't used after its work is done for a while, its better to drain the Carb and add an additive to the tank to "preserve" the fuel in the tank. Because if you don't, you're going to wind up with a multitude of Carburetor issues like Ted. LOL! Years ago when gasoline was blended better (and no Ethenol) with a better rating of octane, we never had problems with anything gasoline powered. Think about it. The only thing with a Carburetor on Tractors years ago in general was a mud dubber making a home in the vent tube causing the engine to flood... Damn bugs!! LOL!
