How much, if any, would a shuttle shift ad to the value of a tractor. Also,is there any production numbers available?

I'm not sure if it adds any value. That will depend on what you are going to use the tractor for. A Shuttle is simply an addition of a gear to reverse the low side of the power director. Great for loader work. The downside is that you now only have 4 forward or reverse gears with no shift and the PTO turns at about 780 rpm. It's your call. I have both. There are no production records that I have seen. Could be dealer added. Had two neighbours change their D-15 and D-14 loader tractors from PD to shuttle 40 years ago. One neighbour still has his.
------------- Nothing is impossible if it is properly financed

my opinion only but can't see it adding any value.....only a loader tractor would want it and how big is that demand? You got all them dairies around ya but doubt there's any looking for a D17 loader tractor.

Was talking to a guy the other day who said he had 2 , 170s with shuttle. Said he was going to restore them and wondered if they would be worth more. Got me thinking and I thought I,d ask the "experts " here..
