How you guys slide those 28" Rims onto the cast iron wheel center without scratching paint?? It's tight! Just got everything primered up, and wondered how I'm gonna do it.
My rims have tires aready installed...so its gonna be a 2 person job I'm sure to mount the rim to the cast wheel and get those 6 bolts in.
Thinking about using 2 pieces of 3/4" OSB, lay them down flat under the cast wheel, then slide the rim/tire across straight onto cast wheel??
Thanks!!

I usually put the centers on the tractor first then use a floor jack to get the space just right. Old bath towels placed between the parts help prevent scratches. I place a small piece of plywood between the tire and floor to make it slide easier.

i laid the centers in the floor, put the tire/rim on top of it, then lifted the center up into place with my motor hoist. works good with one person doing the hoist jack, and the other guiding the center into place

Ok thanks guys.
I got the tires already mounted to the rims, used tires.
So its a little more challenging and I am not planning on dismounting the tires.
