Ware in both rotating groups. If it is RWA, could have ware in one or both motors. At 5000 psi a lot of oil will slip through a pretty small scratch.
If you rebuild hydro, rebuild RWA at same time. also clean all hoses and oil tank. Cannot be too clean when working on hydro. MACK

Talking to one of the good hydro shops we have here in KS, they said the number one thing that kills a reman hydro is contamination, followed closely by a weak hydraulic pump not sending enough charge oil.

To one of the more experienced mechanics on this page, how do you check charge pressure and volume in the system?

I have a 82 L2 with a weak hydro, and after replacement I want to make sure the new used one lasts.

If you need parts for your Gleaner, we are parting out A's through L2's, so we may be able to help.
