I remember reading in a post awhile ago about the 6095 being in the works towards the end of Allis's days. Wouldn't have made more sense to have a trimmed off 426 than trying to put a 301 in it? Seems like they would have to lengthen the tractor to fit it in. Once you lengthened it wouldn't you lose a lot of nimbleness? 6080 with a shortened 426 set up with a 7060 type pump could have been interesting. But then again I'm not a 301 fan.

Most projects like that are tied to "what is the cost going to be" ?? There was no four-cylinder version of a 426 , which would have been 240+ cubes. There was a 301 and it would have had PLENTY of HP/torque to tear up anything behind it in terms of a Fiat driveline. I'd guess wheel base may have changed 6 to 8 inches and wouldn't have been much of a hindrance to nimbleness. The biggest flaw in any 301 was the fact they never went to a 3-Oring cylinder sleeve like the 426. Coolant maintenance is critical to see to it the engine doesn't die an early death from sleeve pits or Oring failure.

When many 6080 dyno 100 plus how much would be gained with a 301? Cooling was a issue when we tried using it as a replacement to the 7000.

200 cube 433-I four-banger was only rated by A-C at 100 flywheel HP max. The 301's were as high as 145 flywheel HP. You and others can argue all you want over what a PTO dyno says (and most of them read high), but there's no 433-I engine that will make more HP than a 301 with a turbo. Cooling problem?? .. never had an issue with that on any 6080 I serviced if the radiator was clean and the rest of the cooling system was up to spec.

A 6080 has a big radiator with plenty of flow, unless they are plugged up with dust, weeds they do great
