WC Steering Wheels Through Production?

What styles of steering wheels were used on the WC's? I've seen 3 different styles on the unstyled, and the the kind used on the styled WC's. I've seen the same wheel on all the styled WC's, so I guess I'm asking what styles are correct for the unstyled.

I understand the early ones had an all metal 4 spoke wheel, right?

I've also seen two other 3 spoke styles...one is completely covered in that rubber-like material. The other has rubber around the outside with 3 wide flat steel spokes on the inside (no rubber on them).

What years were they used?

My 35 has 3 flat spokes with no covering, except the outside ring.

Our 34 #477 has the 4 spoke all steel. By the 1800 serial numbers they weren't all steel anymore. Will need more feed back from others to differentiate. The parts books from real early to later ones just list the "steering hand wheels" as part #U2260 without listing changes in style.

I have no information but my guess is that AC bought steering wheels as production needed and so long as the shaft spline or key was the same and the diameter about the same that tractors got what was available from the vendors that week. Likely did the same thing for front wheels too. Both items more profitable to buy than to build.
