I was wondering what the front grille AC symbol should look like on a 1980 AC 7080? Thanks

Here is a pic from an original add. You can clearly see the emblem. They are a steel box with an Allis decal.

I still have some of the emblems that we made up for the black bellys and the 8000 series they are made out of aluminum instead of plastic .

The steel box measures 3-3/8" X 3-3/8" X1-1/4". The 7000 series came with them but I think a lot have fell off. They were hard to secure, welded to mesh.

Here's a pic of the grill from one of our 7080's...not sure what's it's made out of.  Both of our 7080's have them and they are both brown belly's.

Here is one on my 7080. It is plastic, held on with screws on the backside.

I believe brown bellies had the metal box style that had little tabs bent over to hold on and black bellies had the nicer aluminum emblem with two screws holding them on, I have both styles in my collection.

I need to correct myself, I just looked and the later one is plastic with 3 screws holding them on, I was mistaken on aluminum, those where for
later b series garden tractors.

The 7045 on the farm never came with an emblem, its a 1980 model. The 1980 7080 has the newer plastic emblem like 8000 series. I think 1980 is when the switched style of emblems.

My 1979 7080 has the box style on it, as do my 76, 7060 and 7040. Maybe 79/80 was the cut off for the new emblem.

All 7000 series had an emblem on the upper grille screen. Either the square metal box style or the later style. Many fell off or got taken off, but when it left the Factory in Milwaukee it had something.
