Have read on a/t that bad things happen to transmissions on 70 series case tractors with power shift. Seems they can't be left in certain gears for stationary pto work like running augers. We use a 180 on the auger and now i am wondering what position the power director should be in while augering? Maybe it does not matter on an allis but am curious. Did not find much info in the manual unless I over-looked it.Thanx,

My 185 manual says to have both trans and pd in neutral, would think 180 would be same but can't confirm.
