I'm putting my WD back together after replacing the ring gear on the flywheel. The flywheel seems to only want to line up on the crank in a certain position, Is this the right spot or do I need to find tdc. and line up the timing mark like my book says. I'm afraid that I might install it 180 out. Any advice.

Before removing the WD flywheels paint one of the bolt holes on the flywheel and crankshaft and then install two studs in the crankshaft for alignment makes installing that heavy flywheel a lot faster, no turning the flywheel around on the shaft.
