Found an (industrial?) loader that mounts to the D-14 side frames and has it's own hydraulic pump that is driven by D-14 crankshaft extension. My resent goal is revising this sixty year old design (hour plus to install/remove) to a few minute drive-in/back-out design. I may be in the market for some old truck-snowplow(s) for brackets, which are hard to find this far south. Your suggestions (does/don'ts) would be appreciated. Herb(GA)

I don't know, but when you get it done, post the design, as I'd like to do it to a WD with a #9 ( I think) loader..... It would be nice to just drive up and pin it on...

My biggest problem is the main boom, not the cylinders, I have no problem there.

gee Herb I didn't spend an hour getting loaders off THREE of my D-14s...I think 2 were the #14, one is a #140.sold 1, two still waiting for a good home to go to....
There 'should' be removable support arms/legs that hold the bucket/frame parts while you back out or drive in. Mine had simple pins with 'R' clips holding things on as well as a few 'quick connects' for the oil lines.
As long as loader is on level solid ground it shouldn't be too bad to take off/get on.

For your WD with the Wd9 loader all you need are the parking stands.they are nothing but a 5' long piece of 3/4" pipe with a little foot on the end. I modified mine with a cable that attaches to the feet and keeps the bottom from spreading. Just park on a level spot swing the legs down unpinned the cylinders and arms and back out. Pioneer fittings on the Rams allow you to just drop them. To put it back on drive in take you ladyfingers and wiggle it in the pin holes pinitback on attach the Rams and back away. It takes me about 10 minutes by myself to remove or install it.

How much do you need off? A quick release bucket will get you most of the front clearance back. The quickie loaders basically remove the loader frame that raises. They are a different design but I think if you add a couple if mounting points one on each side of the tractor on the upper frame members you could have a set of legs that pin into the upper cross member then pull the two pins at the top if the tower and pull the pins one the lift cylinders and drive the tractor away. Oh and of course don't forget to unhook the hydraulics. I would run them all up the loader frame and put quick connect hoses at the corner of the upper tower then you could just unhook the lines from the tractor and loop them back to the control valve.
But the quickest solution is to buy another d14. Then you just hop on the non loader tractor if you don't want a loader. 2 tractors would probably be cheaper and a lot easier then comming up with the modifications to take the loader off.

Have an industrial loader {200} from a D-14. Made modifications and put it on a 17. Great loader, but do agree it is not a easy job to remove. Agree, just find another 14 without a loader. Good Luck

Don't want another tractor; need to see the quick connect/disconnect features on some pickup truck snowplows (Boss, Hiniker, Meyer, etc) or medium size farm tractor loaders. Either are hard to find an hour north of Atlanta. Jasper, GA has a couple farm tractor dealers, plan getting over there this week. Then make a simplified version. Herb(GA)
