I got around to painting my 52 ca last week. I did some research on Persian orange #1 and looked at the dupont spectra master ys073 and ys074 that some have used. I found that summit racing has an orange that in my opinion is as close to po 1 as those colors are. I bought the gallon of paint activator and reducer for $111 to my door. This is for single stage urethane. I am not advertising for summit, I just thought it may help some people save some money. My dupont jobber wanted $275 for a gallon of paint alone.

Very nice paint job.  How did you prep the tractor?  Just curious.

I oven cleaner and pressure washed the cast stuff a couple times to get the grease off. Then I used aircraft stripper to remove the paint off the cast. I epoxy primed and then painted all the cast. On the tins I stripped with brush on stripper. Sanded and epoxy primed polyester primed then finished with urethane primer and paint.

I was so glad it was a tricycle model.  That was the type I sold and I still believe they are the nicest looking units.
Beautiful Job!!
Thanks for taking the time and pains to keep the name alive.
Good Luck!

Sum-up306 is the part number. The color chart is only about $3 to your door. It's the standard urethane single stage. Not the low voc. I would recommend getting that in hand and deciding if the color works for you since it's not marketed as po #1.
