Was cultivating with my 7045 p.s. shifted down to go through waterway didnt sound like it shifted right then just stopped. Lost all hydralics no power steering no lift arms or remotes. Hydraulic fluid and power shift oil both normal level. where to start looking? could it be the hydralic pump or worse? Its a nice 7045 repainted with new tires would hate this to be a fatal breakdown as one of my favorite tractors to use hoping not more expensive than the tractor worth. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Sounds like pump, happened to one of my 8070's. I think it cost around $4000 but I had some other stuff done to it to.

Sounds like the torque limiter clutch disc on the flywheel ate her pigs.

I think if you engage pto and it doesn't spin. (With tractor running) then you know it's the torque limiter. If it does then it's the hydraulic pump. Most likely its the torque limiter. If you are doing the work yourself I wouldn't think too bad of a price. Dr would know better. I would think there are plenty of good used ones around we always doubled the belvue washer when we had one split. And I think it was around 100.00 for that.

Had the torque limiter go out last year at 6000 hours on 7045. Hired work done need to split tractor, new limiter and some seals came in less than $2000.

Remove the third link bracket on the back of the tractor, dig out the cup/plug.  Start the tractor, is the shaft turning?  No, = torque limiter, yes = likely a different problem, up in the pumps.

Torque limiter. What ever you do, don't put any used parts in it. Resurface flywheel, new pressure plate, and new disc. Good time to replace rear main seal and ware ring.    MACK
