Just picked up an 8070 FWA and I am vireo us on service interval recommendations. Our kubota track loader recommends changing final drive oil at every engine oil change. Is there anything else I should know about the front end. We have an 8050 already so I am used to the tractor. Just unfamiliar with FWA. Any advice is appreciated. I will post pics of the tractor soon. Derek in MO

Got two 8070 with the FWD. I change the oil about every three years. 10mm hex to undo the plugs. On the final drives, the book show to how to have it sitting to fill with oil. You need to have it turned down just a little from the picture. It will build to much pressure and blow the big seal. The axle has a big fill plug with a rubber O ring on it. The O ring covers a vent hole. Make sure the O ring is in place and the hole is clear. Grease, grease, grease the front end every 10 hours. 11 grease zits if I am counting right.

Thanks for the tips. We hit tillage equipment with a grease gun every day. I will make it a point to hit the front end too

One more thing. If you can see the zirt on the front U joint pointing straight out to the left side or straight down, you will be able to grease the two on the back end of the drive line. You can turn the steering wheel and it will turn the drive line to find the front zirt.
I find that the range lever will bind up and make it hard to shift into high or low range. Put gentle pressure on the range lever while turning the steering wheel. Like before it turns the drive line which turns the trans gears and the range lever will fall into place.
