started the 8010 today to feed the cattle...no warning lights, even if you push the test button, no tach, temp gage or fuel gage, is there a fuse or circirt breaker somewhere? bad connect between cab an engine? owners manual is no help, I cant read the wiring diagram without big magnifying glasses

Not completely familiar with the 8010, but I had the same symptoms when my ignition switch went south on my on my 7000.  Might be worth digging under the dash and seeing if you are getting 12v on both sides of the ignition switch with it on.  On the 7000 series, that switch carries a pretty good load, especially with a cabbed tractor and all of its accessories going.

update
ok, I found the problem, so far things are working like they should
one of the circuit breakers was getting warm, #F in the owner manual, got my good glasses out an followed the wiring diagram in the book,,, checked with test light,, retested, etc...the tan and white/red stripe wire was the problem.
book shows it goes to electric fuel pump(my tractor aints got one I can find), well the tan wire splits off to the console light,, theres where I found grounded out behind the batteries kinda tangled in the clutch works
this circuit breaker also powers the dash warning lights and fuel/temp and tach with another wire
another thing got fixed with all this to, the Hyd filter light was coming on sometimes, sometimes off, turns out the connection on the circuit board on the light bank had a bad/loose connection
