I am looking at a couple of 45s with WD-9 loaders and was wondering how much weight the loader would lift? I am not going to use the bucket just a chain to pick up things around the shop. I can't find the specs in any of my books or manuals. I think they would probably be OK but, I have never been around a 45 with that loader.

rated to pickup 1800 lbs. with a 3000 lb breakout. better have weights and fluid. I have weights and a cab on mine it will pick up the front of my 5 ton truck. No problem pickin up a 6x6 bale. Just don't plan on driving any where with it. without power steering a full snow bucket is about 900 lbs that i can steer and easily stack 10 feet high.

It will pick up enough to turn it's self over on a slope.    MACK

Dave, thanks for the info. The one I'm probably going to buy has power steering so that will work out great. I have some weights so I should be good to go. Again I appreciate the the help to make my decision. Mike Lynn

Mack, I have a 2320 John Deere and I almost turned it over 2 or 3 times before I learned what it would do. Had a small case tractor with a loader on it and did turn it over, way to small to use handling granite like we do. Dave is right on target about the weights and fluid, makes all the difference. The older I get the more careful I am, would like to get older!
