My 8050 has a couple of issues. It is starting to slip with the steering. you have to keep turing it to get it to turn, doesn't do this all the time, every so often. Is the orbital motor starting to go, or does it sound like the cylinder? The next thing is shifting from 5th to 6th is very jerky. 4th to 5th is smooth, but the next one is very jumpy. is there something wrong, or are they this way?

Had an 8050 powershift, 5th to 6th was always a bit jerky. I remember when making that shift in high range i would pull back on the throttle a hair at the same time shifting would make it smoother. Drove a buddy's 8400 deere last year and the AC wasn't as rough as 12 to 13 was in the deere!

I've been around 3 power shift allis tractors, and all three shifted a little jerky from 1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd, and 5th to 6th. Shifts between 3rd, 4th, and 5th up and down are very smooth, and they are the working range gears. Darrel
