| Having trouble removing the shifter tower. Appears the reverse fork is holding it up. Last time I drove it it dropped into 3rd gear and I could not get it out. Any advise out there? |

Remove the shift boot. Take out the snap ring and retainer. Pull out the shifter. Do not drop the pin(s) that are in the shift tower. Stick a long screwdriver or something similar down in the hole and pry the fork to the neutral position. Then reinsert the shifter. When it is in neutral the forks will make a rectangle shape that will look a little like this ---> [ 0 ] when you have the shifter in correctly you will feel a little spring tension on it when you move it side to side.
