OK, dumb question but just HOW does the header manage to stay up for ever? I mean every other hydraulic system I've had/seen sooner or later whatever is up does come down ! Usually the weight of the load will push the oil backwards.
Just curious, like my new kitten.

Most hydraulic valves only use a fit to spool to keep oil from returning. The header valve uses a poppet to keep oil from returning that takes hydraulic pressure to unseat it. Does two things that most other valves don't do. #1 a safety to keep header from going down unless there is oil pressure to let it down. #2 keeps header from leaking down over time. MACK
