I've been drooling, wanting either a WD45 or G. Some WD45's have come available but don't know which to get. There is a diesel with a stuck engine for $6800. Doesn't say what free problem is. There's a gasser with a stuck engine for $900. Then, there's a gasser that runs for $2100. I'm just curious which would be best or what some of the pros and cons are to each, especially the gas vs diesel.

Thank you!

Stay away from the diesel, if the engine is stuck it could have some very expensive repairs needed especially the injection pump. Plus you can find running 45 diesels in that ballpark. $900 for a stuck gas 45 seems high also, could just be a parts machine if you don't know the condition of the of the tranny and rear end, $500 would be about the right price for that.

First off welcome from Arkansas. I would look at all tractors close before I made a decision.
The gassers are common and easy to find parts for. They are great tractors. I would look at the tires close as they are a big part of the cost. The diesels will be hard to find parts for and very expensive depending on what it needs. The gasser with the stuck motor wouldn't scare me as parts are plentiful and affordable. The runner isn't a bad price if it's a very nice clean tractor with good tires. As bad as I want one the diesels scare me. Can we see pics?

I think Thad is right on the mark. I would like to have a WD45D but dont want the price tag. The old WD will have to keep me busy for a while. A non running WD45 should not be more than $500 as mentioned.
Regards,
Chris

You didn't said what you need the tractor to do for you but if a WD45 Diesel is on the table here's one for $6,500.that runs and has factory power steering too.

One thing about the cheaper one, I could always find a newer diesel to put on it that'll generate the same hp and torque but be a little more fuel efficient.

This first one doesn't seem like a bad price for the shape it's in & comes w/ a plow.

There are better deals out there than this diesel one.

Can't tell on the stuck one due to no pictures. As stated above. If all good tires & complete & good shape otherwise. Might be worth $700. Plan on at least another $500 into the motor.

I must say this. That Diesel is a looker. Looks low hr to me and lived in doors all it's life. I'd sure like to find a gasser in the same condition. I know where one is and so does Don. I wonder which one of us will con the owner into selling. We both need another 45. LOL

Not to worry Thad, I looked at the Wd45 last week and got a price from Joe so all I need now is a wagon load of green, don't worry it's not coming home with me yet. lol

Ok, forgot to mention the uses. I'm wanting it to plow the garden, done bush hogging, would love a sickle bar mower for hills, and would love to have the hydraulics to run a loader with hydraulic bucket. We also have a JD hydraulic disc that would be cool to pull with it in the garden.
