Hello. I recently stumbled upon a fender mount radio bearing the A-C logo on it. My question is where can I get a replacement radio insert for it? this one seems pretty rough, and I doubt it will play again. A couple pics:    Thanks. Any help would be appreciated. I'm pretty sure it used to be creme colored, but someone painted it...(gulp)...green. Creston

I would like to do that, as I prefer FM and this is AM only. The only problem is new radios are so expensive! I do have one out of an '82 Chevy Scottsdale that I might try though. Thanks

If that is a standard sized radio in the cabinet you can replace it with just about anything for under $100. It won't look original, though. I'm surprised at the Made in Hong Kong label. There were few imported accessories back then. |

Bendix was a big producer of fender mount radios also. I have one in a cabinet very similar to yours, looking to do what is recommended by others, just haven't found the right one.

Thanks Guys, I found one on classiccarstereos.com that looks pretty similar. It says it's for a VW bug, but I think it might fit. I also found a $26 radio from radioshack, that doesnt look original, but I guess if it works.... It's pretty close though. Just no chrome, but it does have the knobs. Thanks, Creston
