Did anyone buy any of the Allis Chalmers Items on today's online Auction? All the pieces were some of the nicest looking originals I have seen in one place! Everything had been stored inside. No junk to be found anywhere and the prices reflected it: 1960 D14 with factory power steering. Showing 2700 hours. Wouldn't start - needs fuel system cleaned out. 1 back tire flat. I bought it for $2150 1966 D15 II with factory 3 point and 1800 hours showing. Sold for $5027. I came close. 1967 D12 III with 2 range transmission, factory 3 point, factory front weight and 3100 hours showing. They claimed it was the first one made in 1965, but I ran the number and it was a 1967. Sold for an incredible $8600! I stopped bidding way before that! 1962 D10 I engine stuck from sitting $4200 6' Snap coupler blade $450 RL451 industrial loader not running $3150 Restored B with cultivator $2800 Snap coupler twin wheel hay mower $1550 Snap coupler post hole digger (MINT) $525 2 Row 3 point corn planter $525 303 Square baler $875 50s Rotobaler in excellent condition $2853 (wow!) Didn't have a chance to get pictures. I saw everything in person last week - pictures don't do them justice! I was hoping to buy more but my lottery numbers didn't come up. I was gone all day and actually forgot about the auction. Ok because I have most of them and don't need anymore. Great prices! Myron, you were in western ON and didn't stop in !!

Sorry Calvin, we spent more time there than we had planned. Probably the closest thing to a tractor show we will have this year. We will be sure to stop in the next time we are in your area!

My 3rd D14 made its way home today. It looks pretty good. It will need new rear tires, but the rims look decent so far. I started out tackling the fuel system they said needed cleaning out - they were not kidding! Inside of the gas tank is a mess! Full of bad gas and tons of rust. I still smell like it several hours later! The rest of the tractor appears very tight and I have strong suspicions that the 2700 hours showing are original - very little wear on pedals, drawbar, and seat suspension. The best part is the original Nelson muffler! I am planning to put on another carb and hook up a temporary fuel supply tomorrow to see if she will start. Fingers crossed! Any idea if the fire extinguisher on the left fender is factory equipment? From the tank ... |

Looks good. Does it have the "Power Steering" logo on the steering wheel ?

I needed another project like a hole in the head! I didn't need another D14 either, but when I saw how original that tractor was, I realized that it needs to be preserved. Someone in the past even cared enough to use AC spark plugs in it too! |
