5/25/2013 thru 5/26/2013 Show #1035	Carlinville, IL Yahoo Map	Macoupin County Historical Society Our Spring Festival will be hosted by the Macoupin County Historical Society, the Macoupin Agricultural Antique Association, and the Illinois Valley Blacksmith Association. The feature tractor for 2013 is Allis-Chalmers. Free admission and free parking. No fee to exhibit your tractors or equipment. Carlinville is 45 miles south of Springfield, IL. and 60 miles northeast of St. Louis, MO. Our grounds include lots of shade, a Victorian mansion, working sawmill, blacksmith shop and printing press, country store, country church, country school, storage buildings, and two kitchens with pavilions so you can eat in the shade. We completed a new geneology building in 2012. We make our money from food and drink sales. Breakfast will be served at 7 AM both days. Meals are served all day as long as the crowd lasts. We usually have 100 - 150 craft vendors. The Prairieland Pullers will hold garden tractor pulls on Saturday. We'll have several thousand people on the grounds on a good day. Admission is charged for tours of the mansion and that money is used for upkeep of the house. The MCHS grounds are alcohol free. You can also call Bill Lange at 217-854-8500 or P.J.
