Last week I ask for some opionions on the 1951 D grader, Has been inside for years, has been started for 3 years, good tires, one dent in the radiator grill on back of machine. Needs a new seat, yellow paint (original). Seller want $4,000, Guarantees it will start and everything will work after he puts new battery, points and plugs. It is a one owner machine. Am I OK at this price? Owner says he wants me to have it for my colloection, I have at thia time farm tractors, this would be out of my norm, but we could actully use this on the farm at times.

Hi.   I had figured that $2000.00 would be a good down payment. I have seen a reconditioned, early 1950's, (no hyd.rotation), sell at an auction sale, for as high as $7000.00 +/- .   Ross.

Calvin,    It appears that you left out a '0' in your downpayment suggestion.   Ross.
