 I was going to sell my tractor restoration project, but I think I have decided to keep the old girl and finish the job I started. So because I am keeping the tractor I want an Allis front end loader for it. Any thoughts on where I can find a good one for cheap in Oklahoma?------------- Jon |

Well, not off the top of my head, but if you like I might be able to help you out some. Will be heading south out of central NE in June sometime, with an empty flatbed, headed for Oklahoma City. Would be willing to discuss some hauling options if that would expand your search area some. OK! Now I got another issue. I was messing with my tractor today and started it up from a jump. ran it for abour half an hour and the battery is dead again. Since the battery and generator, regulator and solinoid, starter and ignition coil, wires and plugs, etc. are all new I am befuddled as to why my battery is dead. It must have a dead cell in it. It's only around 9 months old. Any thoughts? ------------- Jon |

It could be a bad battery, or it could be a poor connection. First, double check all of your connections, at the battery, the starter, the solenoid, and the starter. Make sure they are all clean and tight. I know you may know some of this stuff, so I hope I don't insult you. If the genny wasn't flashed when you hooked everything back up, it may not be charging, what does your amp gauge read while running, and not running, but lights on? The other thing you can do if you have a buddy to help you, is to put a volt meter on the battery, not the cables, but directly on the battery post, and try to start the tractor, and see what the meter reads for voltage. | i didn't have one of the connections right when a put a new voltage regulator on mine, it'd start, run, and charge just fine, but once i shut it off, the amp gauge needle was almost buried in the negative zone. not saying this is your problem, just throwing a thought out there. |
