looked at a 65 190xt today and it jumps out of 2nd I know it's been asked a million times but what's the high and low end of cost to fix it

How long is a piece of string? Could be 2000 or 6000. What else in wrong in there? who is going to do the work? MACK

Best case would be a shifter fork/detent problem, but that's pretty rare... Also, aren't the gears for the early 190xts NLA new and hard to find good used?

I think A&I carry the gears. Most likely, your problem will involve worn bearings on the input shaft. Tearing the tractor down and reassembling it takes the most time. I never had a problem getting parts for mine.

Labor will be more than parts. Take it to AC deaer and you will think about giving it to them rather than paying bill.If you do it your self 1000 would be a good guess on after market parts.

we will be doing the work ourself, but never ripped a 190 apart and don't know what to looked for, if we get it I'am sure I will be asking more questions Thanks all Bob
