Working on HD5 that has been sitting for over 20 years.   Got all the major problems fixed and now on to the steering clutches.  I removed the left side steering clutch and noticed that the studs between the plate and hub were broken.  I have not been able to find these and was wondering if anyone could help me or may be able to point me in the right direction of where I may be find them.

Thanks

Are you referring to the 1/2" bolts that hold the clutch assembly together? The parts book says not to replace them with standard bolts. You are supposed to mark the assembly and reassemble it the same way. The bolt pattern is not equally spaced on the bolt circle. Use grade 8 bolts drilled for tie wire.

Im referring to the studs that are on the back side of the hub.  These studs look like they are 3/8" on top and 1/4" on bottom.  These can be seen from the throw out plate side.

Thanks for your help

Purchase bolts and modify them to make the correct studs. This is what keeping classic machinery is about.
