I've never seen them in real or in work clothes. Only in the book of Norm Swinford there is information and picture's about it.

that is actually a cotton stripper. they quit making pickers in the 60's. wonder how many AC pickers and strippers are still out there working, or along a fence row!

We have an 860 in our collection.  It is kind of out of place here in Ohio

I still have and run two 880 cotton strippers. Which was a later model then the 860. Years ago my father had a 616 two row Allis cotton picker in was on a D17 chassis with the ring gear turned backward to make the 17 be mounted to the picker backward.

when I was a kid in south Texas, we had 3- 500 model # cotton pickers. they were rusted and retired in the 70's, then junked in the 80's. I always thought the ben pearson picker strongly resembled the AC. They did both use the RUST picking mechanism design. Anyone know anything about or used a Ben Pearson?
