According to the manual on my 1978 5020 compact tactor the transmission / pto uses AllisChalmers power fluid 821  Does anyone know what this really is?

80/90 gear oil?  Hydraulic oil?  SAE 30?

821 is a universal tractor fluid. Other companies call it HYtrans or hydraulic- transmission fluid... similar to 20 or 30 wt oil. Has anti foam and anti wear addatives, better than engine oil.

Like them all, but love the "B"s.
