This guys selling this hd6g dozer that looks awesome j am thinking of buying it but have heard horror story's about how fast the undercarage can add up
What do you look at to see if its OK ?
I never owned a crawler but he is asking 3500 says it works good but has a fuel leak on the left side of engine when he parked it and starter don't work has to pull start it
He is asking 3500 or best offer and to haul it will run me another 600
My thoughts is spend the money and by one already redone but if this seems really cheap and it would be a simple fuel fix and a rebuilt starter maybe it would be good enough for my little hobby farm

track and sprockets - grab hold of the bushing and feel how round it is - are both lower and upper feel round ? Is there a sharp dividing line between the 2 sides ? Are there worn bushings to point they are thin enough they are cracked or worn through.
You can measure between pin centers of 4 links to see how much wear is on internal pin and bushing .
Looking at the picture - the track looks good as no excessive sag over carrier roller .
Sprocket wear is next - how does track pins lay into sprockets - are sprocket teeth worn even or are tips sharp or flat -
Seems like fair price if it runs evenly and moves and steering clutches work so each track will cause machine to turn when pulling clutch and applying brake on that side .
