I found a nice hd 15 dozer starts and operate perfect rails measure about 45% maybe alittle more   Sprockets are pretty worn still have some life.        I really wanna buy it but I’m worried I won’t be about to replace the tracks when I need to.     It has a 6-71 Detroit and it sounds soooo good😂.

It's been years now as the job is no longer profitable to perform in all but extreme cases of unavailability, but welding and building up sprockets, idlers, rollers, chains, etc. on undercarriage used to be a good gig for me. I've done literally dozens of them.

I'd bet a guy could still do this work profitably if not rushed as so much is NLA from any sources. Pretty easy to keep an old tractor working if parts can be rebuilt to usable status. However, getting people to obligate funds to do the work after you find a party willing to do the work, is difficult.
A career built on repairing and improving engineering design deficiencies, shortcomings, and failures over 50 years now.
