My first purchase was a 1952 CA in 1987.  Dad helped me overhaul the engine and install a new 2nd gear the following winter.  Still use it every summer mowing grass at the family farm.

Bought a 160 a year ago. It has been an awesome tractor for our little farm.  Started it when it was 2 degrees the other day and it fired up like it was the middle of summer. Just a great little tractor!

My first tractor I bought was the 1954 WD45 I grew up on. My father owned it from 1990-1999 and he got it from an estate of the original owner and it was to replace a WD we had that crapped out. I raked a lot of hay with this tractor. I found it and bought it back in 2012. Here is a picture of it in 1999, right before we sold it. It was very clean and straight when it left and by time I got it back, it was pretty rusty from sitting out all the years. The WD was nicer and sat in the back of the barn until 2004 when it was sold as a project tractor.

Thanks Dan, it was my first restoration effort and the photo was taken the first day out of the shed on completion. It is now showing some signs of a 24 year old restoration but I am still proud of it.

We restored my wife's grandpa 160 and juiced it up with some pump work and a turbo, but our First tractor bought would be a 85 Allis 6080 Serial 7658. fun fact the tractor Slow moving vechile sign still had the writing on it that had been applied when it came off the line. Our tractor was 40th from the last, and it came off the line 11/21/1985. we thought that was pretty cool.

1952 CA about 8=10 years ago.  If I can ever figure out how to get a pix of it on here, I will edit post and include it.  That seemed to have started the aquisition problem!

Dad gave me the WD-45 gas I grew up on.  It had been sitting down by the creek for years.  Has wide front.  I hired a neighbor to restore it to running condition, then hired another neighbor to paint it.  Then new tires, etc.  Got over $3000 in it, but won't ever sell it - will go to my kids.  It gave me Classic Tractor Fever bad.  Next bought a WD, just like my Grandad had - NF and charlyn power steering.  Then an unstyled WC, like my other grandad had (he passed away when I was 6 months old).

I got AC blood from both sides.  My Mom's dad did custom work with his WC and all-crop.  My Dad's dad did custom work with his WD and roto-baler.  When I cut myself, it's orange at first ...!
