Hey, everybody head over to the new forum and get registered. It's in a format that most of us are using already. I already have it book marked and will make the switch very quickly.

    51149062RE: New forum KeninTexas 9/11/2009 9:03:07 PM
    I got registered OK. I'm a slow learner and it will take me some time to learn to navigate the maze.

    Otherwise, it's ok.
    51149071RE: New forum Calvin 9/11/2009 9:40:02 PM
    I am going to miss all of you on the forum as I can not afford a new computer that has the cookies to enter the new forum. I have already tried and I am just not powerful enough to get on. This happened a couple of years ago when simpletractors went to a new format. Cal in Ct.
    51149075RE: New forum Luke R. 9/11/2009 9:44:05 PM
    I couldnt get the picture thing to work, for direct picture posting from my computer. Guess i have some learning to do.

    If you put in an Avatar Calvin try not doing that. I tried doing one and it spit me out the first time.
    51149082RE: New forum DonBuck(VA) 9/11/2009 10:14:35 PM
    I have registured. The new one is not user friendly or easy to navigate but if that is all we have I guess it will do I am disappointed. Why fix something that is not broken.
    51149085RE: New forum Tony&Barb 9/11/2009 10:22:06 PM
    Too bad!!! The main thing that made this site very special (besides the folks that visit here) is that it isn`t like every other forum out there!! Will miss this one very much!!

    I'm going to miss it, but I'll just have to adapt. Lots of new features over there. looks like a CHANGE We Can Believe In.

    LOL
    51149093RE: New forum Ron(WA) 9/11/2009 11:20:40 PM
    Going to miss this one, but I could see this coming for some time. Abuse it and lose it.
    51149102RE: New forum JohnCO 9/11/2009 11:22:19 PM
    I haven't checked out the new site yet but will try to sign up. We have to remember that Darrin has spent a lot of time and money keeping this site operational so if he wants to change it, so be it. Maybe more AC talk and less politics, I hope.
    51149103RE: New forum LouSWPa 9/11/2009 11:22:41 PM
    common guys, I believe the administrator (Darrin) is trying hard to accomodate as many people as he can. yep, this is a great site, but times do change.
    Glenn, you're a trouble maker! LOL

    I'll be around on the new forum but I think its going to be a lot harder to use. There will be a lot of ground to cover to see everything that happens each day.
    51149112RE: think i'm gonna pass on the new forum... JC(WI) 9/12/2009 1:22:43 AM
    JOHNCO, there is a political page over there, and its if your not big enough to take it there, you get out and don't go crying to DARIN either because you did enter with both eyes open knowing full well that it IS polical. But of course mind your manners about name calling and ...
    Theres A post area for allis's , a post area for construction, a post area for what ever else and then the political posting site too. Even Darin has already posted there couple times.
    51149114RE: think i'm gonna pass on the new forum... ben 9/12/2009 1:48:57 AM

    Still reelin from the shock. When I started reading his message,I thought the Allis forum was gone, but did catch the fact a new one is going to replace it. Haven't been there yet but will register and transfer over to there. I thank you, Darin, for making this forum available for us. God Bless.

    Well I have been on here about 20 minutes and can not get logged on the new site. Old men and new ideas do not go well together. I keep trying to get logged on and it keeps telling me something is incorrect. Ron{KY}
    51149125RE: think i'm gonna pass on the new forum... scott 9/12/2009 6:17:57 AM
    It looks like all the rest now. Cookie cutter exact. I never hoped for any change. This old page has personality. Very sorry to see it go.
    51149126RE: think i'm gonna pass on the new forum... Ron{KY} 9/12/2009 6:48:03 AM
    Okay I hate to give up on anything but this new idea is like so many other new things these days just not worth it I don't believe. I believe it to be too complicated and could never be as benefical as the old site. In my opinion this was what made the old site better then any other site, simple, neat looking, easy for anyone to post a simple message and go on about your day. I hate to admit it but I have been on for about an hour and a half and have not been able to get logged in. I will miss the old site and everyone on it. Thanks Darin it was nice for a long time. Ron{KY}
    51149131RE: think i'm gonna pass on the new forum... BGinPA 9/12/2009 7:19:45 AM
    After you guys get logged in and check things out, your browser will remember what you have looked at and then you can just click on the "new posts" button everytime you log on and it will just bring up the stuff that you have not looked at before. Like with replies to older posts, it will tell you that there are so many new replies(it is in parentheses), just click on that and it will take you right to it. I'm still learnin' but you CAN teach old dogs new tricks.

    I think if we look at as a restored orange tractor with allot of replacements, we will all learn how to drive it. Ron in a few months I think you will drive it with the best!

    Cant get logged in, didnt know there was a password involved and everything I try doesnt get results, the forgot password doesnt work for me either. It appears I will just be a reader, maybe not a bad thing. Fred
    51149148RE: Love the new Site? KeninTexas 9/12/2009 7:48:05 AM
    Win some loose some. We had a place to ask a AC Tech Question and identify it as such. Can't find it on the new forum. How many will miss this old feature???
    51149152RE: Love the new Site! Ron(MO) 9/12/2009 8:04:33 AM
    It is a tractor/farm site, I don't see the need for a political section, it will only cause division amongst forum members. It won't be long before hard feelings will start to interfere with tractor talk. Just my opinion, I'll just stay off the political section. Thanks Darrin for the new and the old site. Ron

    Darin, Without any other comments, thanks much for designing, offering and managing THE best website available!

    I have to agree with Barb (Tony and Barb). I really liked this site.
    51149166RE: Love the new Site! JimDanforth 9/12/2009 8:59:36 AM
    I'm not sure why some cannot get logged in. Call me monday on our toll free number, and I will be happy to walk you through it. Takes about 3 minutes.
    As for features being lost, there are none. You can ask any of the questions you did before, and talk about anything you did before, even more.
    Since some could not follow directions from Darin, I think he was at the stage of fix it or dump it. Personally I'm happy that he opted to fix it instead of shutting it down. I must not be the only one that thinks it was on the edge. Just look at all the comments on the new site that thought the message at the top was a "going away" message.

    I really liked this site, but will check out the new one. The black background is a bit much. I hope the whiners decide to stay on the old site.
    51149179RE: Love the new Site! Ron{KY} 9/12/2009 11:49:38 AM
    Neal In all the years I have used the old site I have never called anyone a name other then their own. I am not a whinner as you say I am and calling me names does not make it any easier to log on. I have loved the site in the past because I thought it was for the future of the old Allis tractors. I don't spend a lot of time on here everyday so I am not as computer wise as some of you. I have been working on and driving Allis tractors for more then 60 years but that does not help or make using a computer any easier. Ron{KY}

    I first found the AC site many years back, i believe around 97 or 98 when it took couple months to have many different posts. The format has been updated several times and each time a new learning curve had to be adapted to. So far so good on getting on new site.
    Some questions but I am sure if you can contact some members they will be willing to help you adapt to the new site. In fact I already sent a cry for help .. LOL
    51149191RE: Evolution Tony&Barb 9/12/2009 1:36:48 PM

    I hope you will be able to sort out why you can`t log on to the new site as I would hate to see you just sit on the sidelines...I look forward to your posts.

    The new site is GREAT! Fast, easy to use. Can't see why some of you can't fill out a simple form to get registered and logged on. It is less than 10 blanks that need to be filled in.. You can set it up so you are automatically logged in everytime you visit. I guess some people just nedd to be angry about something Sheesh.
