2nd tractor crossing Friday Sept 18, anybody on this site taking their tractors across, or just being there for the sights? I think last day for registration was Sept. 1st.

I'm going. Our club will be the second one in line, and I think the largest, something like 131 tractors.

I'm registered but it will depend on the weather. I live about 30 miles from the Big Mac so I am gonna wait til the last minute. I went last year so I am not as enthused this year and my buddy Ken isn't gonna make it . There is a Tavern in St. Ignace with a deck and thats on my side, and that might be a good place to watch from, for a change. So its a definate maybe. Gary

Can anyone wander through the staging area, or is that off limits to the public? I drove across the bridge last year just before the start on my way to Milwaukee.

There's going to be a car/tractor show 4:PM to 8:PM Thursday around the corner from the staging area.

There is a couple of groups that are getting to the bridge crossing via there tractors. One group out of the Eaton Rapids, MI area leaving on Monday and the second group from Sand Lake, MI on Tuesday. The first group will be spending Monday night in Alma and then joining the Sand Lake group in the McBain/Lake City area for the night. Wednesday we depart Lake City with a destination of Boyne Falls. Next Thursday will have us traveling east around Petoskey and then west for lunch in Harbor Springs. We will continue west after lunch and follow the lakeshore until reaching the staging area west of Mackinaw City. Yes, most of the group is traveling aboard the trusty Persian Orange

Everyone should do it once, it was a great experience. I'm not taking a tractor, but I may be on the deck having Whitefish and Beer with Gary.
